Instagram Photo A Day

I do love Instagram. The instant way we can share an idea, feeling or just an image. I decided to do a photo a day after seeing many friends & people I follow do it. Being a photographer you'd think it would be easy. Big but here. Because I'm a photographer I tend to over analyse every shot. I'd like to be happy with every image, and being in busy wedding season, it has left little time to spare. I have given it a whirl though, and really enjoyed it.  The idea of making the everyday interesting to others is what really appealed to me.  Hope you like my look at life and what surrounds me.

Here's Day 10 - Can't live without {love}

I was going to use my daughter's hands, but it was past her bed time, so this is Dave's version of a heart.  It took a fair bit of maneuvering to get it right.

University of Queensland Wedding - Shelley & Adrian

What a stunning day Shelley and Adrian had at The University of Queensland, St Lucia.  The ceremony took place in the Alumni Court with the sun shining providing a lovely warmth, and the many family and friends attending added to this with their good humour and enjoyment of the day.

We took a leisurely stroll around the grounds for the photography session.  UQ's mix of stunning sandstone structures and beautiful landscapes around the lake combined for a fantastic range of images.

The reception took place in the Innes Room with lots of gorgeous special touches made by Shelley and Adrian (and I'm sure other helpers).  Actually I could do a huge blog entry on just them - so stay tuned.

A wonderful day with a beautiful couple.  Thanks for letting me share in your very special day.

Fashionably Conscious 2012 - The Highlights

Fashionably Conscious 2012 was a pumping night filled with fashion, art and music.  The creative talents that collaborated is an impressive list to pulled together for a one night show case.  Kirsten Mitchell from Division Model Management inspired many businesses and individuals to take part with all proceeds being donated to Youngcare.  Over 40 top models form Division strutted their gorgeousness on the catwalk - showcasing designers such as Molly & Polly Swimwear, JK Couture Designs, Goddess of Babylon, Adrenalin, Kate Anderson, Homage, AM Eyewear and more.


This inaugural event was held at Rabbit + Cocoon at Miami on the Gold Coast - just perfect for such a creative event.

Peace Lutheran Primary School Gala Evening

We thoroughly enjoyed capturing the people and faces who attended the Peace Lutheran Primary School 30th Anniversary Gala Evening.  With a rich history committed to educating all in the community - the school populace celebrated the achievements made by the school in the last 30 years in style.

It's a wonderful story, the school commenced with just 17 students in the church hall, and now has over 250 students, and a thriving school community.

Fashionably Conscious 2012

It was such a pleasure to support Fashionably Conscious 2012.  Fashionably Conscious is a collaborative platform event to combine creative industries for a one night showcase. The evening's fashion parade was huge with over 40 models from Division Models gracing the catwalk in a huge range of fashion.  Contributors included Molly & Polly Swimwear, JK Couture Designs, Goddess of Babylon, Adrenalin, Kate Anderson, Homage, AM Eyewear and more. All proceeds from the event went to Youngcare. Held at the eclectic space of Rabbit + Cocoon on the Gold Coast the crowd grow quickly to fill the venue to the brim.

We don't need to be asked twice.  We love photographing and filming wedding and fashion. So the combination of wedding gowns and the catwalk is just heaven for us.

Matisse's Christening

Earlier this year I had the pleasure of capturing Matisse's Christening.  Not only was this a special event, but it was lovely to catch up with Megan and Darren, whose wedding I photographed back in 2009.

The Christening was held at St Luke's in Toowoomba, where Megan & Darren were married.

It was lovely to meet Matisse, and play with their son Grayson. Both were such fun to photograph.

Great Day at The Greek Club

Recently we captured The Mother's Event at the Greek Club.  Not only was a huge amount raised, but everyone had a fantastic time.

As part of the event Joanne from JK Couture Designs launched her Mother of the Bride Range.  The wonderful team of Tim and Carla from Elite Freelancing transformed the models, and they looked stunning on the catwalk.

We also used the The Greek Club and Musgrave Park as backdrops for a couple of images as well.

Country Wedding

Chantel & Jamie had an amazing day in the country at Chantel's father's property in the Lockyer Valley.  The weather was absolutely perfect, and Chantel looked gorgeous.
