Cassie & Brenden's love story film

Recently I met up with Cassie and Brenden to film some footage for their love story film. We decided it would be fun to include their hobbies which relate to the NRL and their differing teams. Then we did a race up to Mt Gravatt, near their home, and on to a local park. The weather was beautiful, and we filmed just a little of their relationship together.

I had a great morning, and it was lovely to met such a fun couple.

Beautiful Toowoomba Wedding

Toowoomba is the perfect city for weddings. The gardens, historic buildings and country feel make it a wonderful location for weddings and for wedding photographs. Taryn and John chose their old schools, Concordia for the ceremony, and Downlands for some of the photography session. They will certainly have different memories now of these significant places in their lives.
We continued on the The Highfields Pioneer Village, and a gorgeous local park for more stunning backgrounds. Finally finishing at Highfield Cultural Centre where the reception quickly stepped into high gear. The live band had everyone on the dance floor, with the Eagle Rock getting the couple and their guests pumped up for a great night.

Krystle & Stephen's City Wedding

Krystle and Stephen's wedding was on a gorgeous day last year in Brisbane City. I was second camera for Dave, and we had a fantastic day with amazing images. Krystle got ready at her mum and dad's lovely house, and then proceeded to Brisbane city for the ceremony at St Stephen's Cathedral - an absolutely gorgeous setting for their ceremony. After a photo session that included all of the best Brisbane locations they headed to the Marque Hotel.

What a wonderful wedding. Thanks for letting us play our part in your day.

Happy New Year! Well, we are already well into January with all the Australia Day paraphernalia in the stores. However I’m not one to rush past important dates so it’s time to take a breath and wish everyone all the best for 2012.

It’s going to be another busy year for us with lots of weddings, events and photo shoots. Make sure you follow us on Facebook and Twitter to see what we’re doing, and get some ideas from the images we display there.

2011 certainly started with such grief and sorrow for so many. Last year more than any other I just wanted to start the new year, and put some distance between the horrors of 2011 and my family. As lucky as we were to be only slightly inconvenienced I know so many of our clients and friends suffered terribly.

As much as I want to acknowledge that I want to move on, and start celebrating what life has to offer.

So make sure you celebrate every little occasion as they come this year, and document these precious moments with great images to last forever.

Also to meet some new couples, and hear all about their big day. The only thing we hadn't imagined was the temperature. It was really hot, and instead of coffees many of us opted for something a little cooler.

Love Story Film - Mareldene & Eric

One of our recent competitions was for a Love Story Film. This is a film we make before your wedding day to be shown at your wedding reception. They are great fun to make, and a different way to show your love on your special day. We had a huge response with loads of couples entering. We expected it to be all quite "light and fluffy" and fun, but we were really surprised at how many couples had overcome really severe hardships, or were just having a bit of a tough time in the lead up to their wedding day. So we decided that we would have more than one winner, and would choose a couple we thought would really appreciate something positive.

Mareldene and Eric's story is one that would tug at even the toughest heartstrings and we felt that it deserved to be captured and told in a positive way. After several tentative emails to find out more about their story, I felt I finally had enough background and information to do justice to their story and headed down to the Gold Coast to film this remarkable and gorgeous young couple in their home.

It was just over a year ago that Eric suffered a terrible motorcycle accident that left him in a coma for a week. Now a tetraplegic, life has really changed for this couple. I was totally blown away by their zest for life and need to move on down the road to recovery. It will be a long and difficult road, but Eric is improving every day, and now is regaining feeling in his hands and they will make it through together.

I feel very lucky to have meet Eric and Mareldene, and as I edit their film together I know their lives are just going to get better and better - because they have each other.

I am looking forward to putting the final touches on their Love Story Film, and know they are going to enjoy an amazing wedding day. Thanks to Mareldenes fantastic attention to detail, and Eric's sense of humour (No Eric - I did not bring the flies with me - they were attracted to your lunch!), they will succeed with their marriage as they have succeeded in overcoming such a traumatic event.

Eric and Mareldene are working hard to save for a vehicle so that Eric and go out without the need to hire a maxi-taxi every time they go out. If you would like to help this deserving couple please get in contact us, and let's see if we can make help this fantastic couple regain their life, and enjoy every moment life has to offer.

Angela & Brian's City Wedding

Angela & Brian enjoyed one of the most beautiful Winter days in a long time. The weather was perfect. Angela looked stunning in an amazing gown made by her mother. Getting ready in the family home was important, and although it was a little limited on space we still captured some gorgeous moments with family and friends.

The ceremony took place in the cente of Brisbane at the Albert Street Uniting Church and conducted by a friend of the bride's. The service was lovely with little personal touches that only happen when the priest is so well known to the couple.

This was a huge occasion for the couple with Brian moving to Australia from the US, and many family members travelling to take part. The photography session was at Roma Street Parklands, and the ceremony followed at Gambaro's in Caxton Street.

In love with Port Douglas

On our recent trip we visited Port Douglas. I can't believe I haven't been there before. Although it is a bit of a long haul to get there, it is certainly worth it. The weather was fantastic. Not too hot, but stunning sunshine. Here's a little glimpse of what we saw.

As we walked around the lovely tourist precinct filled with cafes and shops we saw the beautiful St Mary's by the Sea - just perfect for a destination wedding.

More than just great images

Choosing a professional photographer isn't just about amazing images. Of course that's a huge part of it - knowing you are going to get stunning and unique memories of your day, not just the sort of everyday shot Uncle Fred could capture. But there's more to it than that - your photographer will be a wealth of knowledge about Weddings because they will have attended so many and have probably seen just about everything you could imagine. That advice and expertise, especially regarding the timing of the day, comes free of charge from a supplier whose only aim is to make sure you to have the most relaxed and enjoyable day so that he, or she, can capture those magical moments for eternity.

We like to meet up with our couples in the lead up to the big day. Firstly for an E-Shoot about 3-6 months before the wedding. This is a photo shoot that allows us to get to know each other a little better, and also get rid of the nerves you may have in front of the camera. Many of our photographic packages include this shoot in the price, but it is a fairly cheap and worthwhile addition to any package. We provide an online viewing album for you to view the images, and you can purchase any you may like as prints, canvases, maybe an photo album, or for use in stationery or guestbooks for the wedding.

A week or two before your special day we meet up again. This time it is to go through the final timings of the day, and all the little details you have planned. The more you tell us, the easier it is for us to capture all of the moments important to you. Having fun, and capturing great images on your day is about doing the preparation, and allowing plenty of time - after all, the more time we have, the more choice of shots you will have.

Look through our blog articles. They will show you our style of photography and filming. Our work is an art form, and we work hard to provide the best possible images - still or moving - from your day. We absolutely love what we do, and the greatest satisfaction we receive is from our clients and their responses to our work.

Holiday Fun

We really enjoyed the recent school holidays, and as usual we took our cameras everywhere.

On the last day of school holidays it was so windy at our place we decided to take a drive and head to Redlands. The weather was a little breezy, but the sun shone, and we soaked up every drop.

I like to think of this one as a self portrait. Like so many of our clients I also hate being in front of the camera lens, but I know how I love to look back at where we have been and what we have done.

JK Couture Bridal Photo Shoot

It was such a pleasure to work with Joanne from JK Couture on a Photo Shoot of a selection of Bridal Gowns Designs. Not being a sewer I am completely in awe of Joanne's skill. Watching her flick some fabric, and throw it over a mannequin that then turns into someone's dream wedding gown is quite inspiring.

With each gown being individually designed and made on the premises by Joanne and her team, we thought it was important to photograph each gown differently. Tattersalls Club was the perfect venue with its historic and opulent furnishings and fittings.

World's Largest Ballet Class

We had a fantastic weekend. One of the highlights was attending the World's Largest Ballet Class. An event held by Queensland Ballet at The Ideas Festival 2011.

Unfortunately it rained, as is becoming more common in Queensland. This could have been a downer, but instead the well organised event went full steam ahead at the State Library.

1359 participants donned tu-tus and the like and completed the class. The cheers on breaking the World Record were ear drum shattering.

Hello Future Moby Music Video

It's so wonderful to have an opportunity to work with world renown talent, and have creative control on the final outcome. Chances like this don't come by everyday. So we conceived a story to compliment Moby's lyrics and music. After much thought and many different ideas here's what we decided.

As we worked through the scenes we realised it was a valuable lesson for Zoe. The way she cuddles the toy reflects the conversation we had about being homeless, and having no possessions. It's a hard concept for most people to accept, but I think Zoe shows the emotion beautifully.

As we worked on I really thought about the effect we have as parents on future society, and how if you don't have good role models in your life how can you develop into a productive member of soiety. The other terrifying thought is how often those who shout loudest get the most, while the silent ones slip throught the cracks.

We love working in the wedding industry, and we are so lucky to see magical, loving moments in people's lives. It's very easy to forget the silent ones. So even if just for a moment we think how fortunate we are, or have compassion for just a fleeting moment, maybe the next time we see someone a little less blessed we can give them a smile, a dollar, or some acknowledgement that they are not invisible.

It's been a wonderful thought provoking process, and I'm looking forward to seeing the finalists and then the winning music video.

High Tea at Botanicals

We had a great day at Botanicals Cafe High Tea and Bridal Showcase. Botanicals is at the entrance to the beautiful Mt Cootha Botanical Gardens, so the perfect place for your wedding photographs, with just a short trip up Mt Cootha to the lookout for some dramatic sunset or night images to give a totally different option.
Chatting informally with the couples who attended was fantastic. Most were just at the start of their wedding preparations, and getting ready to make the big decision on the perfect venue.
Thanks to the team at Botanical for a lovely day. We also had the opportunity to meet up with some great wedding suppliers including celebrants - Jane Zwar and Caroline Jackson, DJ and MC - Brian Davis, gorgeous men's suits from Elio Moda, reception entertainment with Digi-Diary.

Kristin and Matthew enjoyed a wonderful day full of emotion, with lots of tears, laughter and fun. The Marriott on the Gold Coast provided the perfect backdrop with the fantastic views and the stunning staircase. Kristin looked gorgeous and I loved the bridemaid dresses, something just a little different, while the boys looked totally relaxed in their thongs and vests. We love the opportunity to exhibit at the Ideal Bride Wedding Expo. It's the perfect place to meet couples organising their special day, and chat about all the details, and how we can capture every precious moment.

One of the highlights is the Fashion Parade where gorgeous gowns, bridesmaids dress, menswear and much more are on display in all of their glory.

These wonderful suppliers include Hoe Boutique, JK Couture, I Heart Labels, Exquisite Bridal Wear, Always Habit, Strictly Formal, Cheeky Angel.

Guilia Ponticello Makeup Artist did all of the makeup for the parade, while Elite Freelancing did the hair styles. The models from Division Model Management looked fantastic!

We love photography. If you have spoken to us you will know how excited we get when we talk about a new wedding, family photo shoot, or a crazy event that we get to capture. It's all about the people, their stories, and how we capture the moments to represent that individual, family or event.
Recently we started our photography courses. We knew we'd love it, but I don't think we realised how much. The opportunity to spend a day or two talking about what we love is a pure pleasure. The bonus is watching our participants learn, explore their creative side, and generally have fun while improving.

I was so fortunate to play a part in Amanda & Danny's perfect day. The weather was glorious, and the location at Toparies at Beaumont, overlooking the Samford Valley, was just stunning. Amanda looked absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for letting me be a part of your special day.

As much as we work hard to make a fantastic wedding film it's brilliant to know our couples love what we do.

Jackie & Steve's Country Wedding

Greer & Glen's Wedding at Currumbin

Earlier this month I was so happy to photograph Greer & Glen on their big day. The weather was not at all what we had planned, but the Currumbin Surf Lifesaving Club provided a lovely setting, and Carly the functions manager was fantastic.

Greer looked absolutely stunning, along with her gorgeous bridesmaids.

The day was packed with fun and emotion. The red umbrella came in very handy, and has special significance to Greer & Glen. So it really couldn't have worked out better.

Thanks to the lifesavers who got into the spirit of the day and helped to shelter our couple for a short walk on the beach. Once they had their shoes off we managed to get them out on the beach, and some sand between their toes.

Natalie & Chris' Wedding at the Gold Coast

Natalie and Chris were married at the beautiful Glades Golf Course at Robina on the Gold Coast.

The weather did threaten for much of the day, but the rain held out for a lovely ceremony out on the stunning green lawn overlooking the water.

Watching Natalie and Chris it wouldn't have mattered what the weather was like. Their smiles and joy on the face of family and friends showed they were all enjoying the day!

Melina & Adrian's Wedding at Kangaroo Point

Melina and Adrian choose the beautiful St Mary's Church at Kangaroo Point, with it's history dating back 155 years, and the stunning sandstone construction it's a gorgeous church. Unfortunately the weather didn't work with us, and it rained for most of the day. However that didn't effect the touching ceremony in the sanctuary of the church.

Wow.. the last couple of weeks have flown by. We had Jenny & Gavin, and Melina & Adrian's Wedding as well as starlite Dancer's Bollywood event, and then the Ideal Bride Wedding Expo.

We have done so much great stuff, and the photography and video is sensational.

The spring season is well and truely underway, and I'm looking forward to working with all of our couples.

Greer & Glen's E-Shoot at the Brisbane Botanical Gardens

Greer and Glen chose a gorgeous day to have their E-Shoot. They started out a little apprehensive, but soon realised it was fun to play the star, and we created some fantastic images. Now I can't wait until their wedding day in October. They are getting married by the beach, so we chose the Brisbane City Botancial Gardens for the E-Shoot for a different look. The day was spectacular and we all enjoyed getting to know each other a little better.

Ros & Cameryn's Wedding at St Lucia

A week before Ros and Cameron's wedding the weather forecasters were predicting rain. They stuck with this prediction, and for once, we really hoped they wouldn't be, but they were right. Friday was raining and overcast. The kind of set in rain you really don't want. However with a few minor adjustments the day was perfect. Choosing a venue like Hillstone, at St Lucia, helped take the pressure off the couple with arrangements made by Hillstone staff to cater for the inclement weather.

Dave & I arrived at the Stamford Plaza for pre-wedding photography of Ros. The combination of Ros's excitement (and a little bit of nerves) with the gorgeous backdrop of the Stamford meant we stayed dry and warm, and the resulting images are outstanding.

We then moved on to Hillstone for the ceremony. Ros arrived in style in classic Jaguars from Kenz Classic Cars. We witness a totally touching ceremony, and then off to The University of Queensland for the 'formal' photography session.

By this stage the weather had lifted just enough that we could work around without getting wet. The Great Court was a stunning backdrop and just the spot to pop open a bottle of champange.

As the sun was setting we headed back to Hillstone for the reception. We had just enough time to shoot a couple of night shots there before Ros and Cameron were announced into the beautiful Rosewood Room.

Sarah & Paul's Wedding at Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast

Joining them were family and friends, most of whom had travelled from the UK or Ireland, making the day even more touching and emotional.

Behind the scenes at our green screen event

Recently we worked with Loud Events at the opening of Enerflex's new building in Eaglefarm. It was a great afternoon with over 150 guests enjoying the activities on offer, including the opportunity to have their photograph taken on our green screen, and then magically appear at one the Enerflex's new project sites. The huge factory space was transformed with performers acrobatically decending from the roof, and balancing on suspended hoops. Stephen Robertson MP, Minister for Natural Resources, Mines and Energy and Minister for Trade officially opened the building, and the festivities continued.

Behind the scenes at Kylie & Kai's Wedding on the Gold Coast

At one of our recent weddings at the Gold Coast I went along with a handy cam to shoot a behind the scenes look at a wedding. You can see a little of how Dave captures the couple, their friends and family, and makes the best use of the light and surrounds.

I had fun shooting this little clip and helping out with a second camera angle. Hopefully you can see the energy and spirit we bring to the day. From our perspective the more you are having fun, laughing and enjoying your family and friends' company the better the photographs and video.
When shooting we really aim to capture the couple naturally. To see them reacting to each other. We really want to capture the emotion of the day.

The venue was the fantastic Royal Pines Resort, where the ceremony and reception took place. We made a quick dash over to Broadbeach for a photo session on the beach. The sunset was brilliant and the colours in the sky made for a very dramatic backdrop.

So here's a little snippet of how a day progresses from our perspective.

Here's a little clip I put together from lots of the weddings we have covered, featuring Kahlia and Aaron's day from last month. I love their vows, which were said with such emotion. The perfect story to tell, with the imagery adding to the fun, and excitement of the day.

We had a great day with Christie, Brad and their family and friends. The weather may have been a bit soggy, and a few changes to locations may have happened, but it was all perfect.

I shot second camera to Dave, and they have a fantastic range of images. Dalby has never looked so green after all of the rain. Although we were a little worried about getting back home that night.

One of my favourite images. Christie and Brad walked through mud to get to this beautiful spot by the river. Well worth it!

Tayla's Portfolio Shoot

We had a fantastic shoot with Tayla. She was so easy to work with, and we achieved some great and really different looks in one session.

This is my absoute favourite - gorgeous! Simple, classic and so powerful.

This is just a glimpse of what we did. Whenever we are doing portfolios, for modelling, or for acting our aim is to show the clients diversity, and have images available for any type of character or audition.

Bianca & Chris's Wedding

Bianca and Chris's wedding took place earlier in the year. Dave and I worked together, and the imagery was amazing. A little rain shower kept us under shelter for a little while, but the sky was so dramatic.

We work very hard on every image and all the video footage we take to make memorable photographs, and films for our couples. However the best part of our work is when we know we made a couple feel all of their emotions again just looking at an image, or watching their wedding film. So we were really happy to receive a thank you email from Karen and Kevin who were married earlier in the year.

"We just wanted to let you know that we have recieved the DVDs and watching it was just priceless. We enjoyed every moment it made us smile, laugh and cry, thank you so much it was fabulous and we are very happy."

We don't send out the products we provide unless we are really excited and proud of them, and it's so wonderful to know our couples appreciate the extra effort we put in.

Little Athletics Carnival

We love to vary what we you photograph, and the Little Athletics Carnival that we got to shot last weekend was great fun. the only downer was the rain, that came and went a couple of times.

The kids expressions were fantastic, from the pure concentration through to absolute joy.

Congratulations to Diane Rae of Balmoral who guessed the correct number of images. Kalyn Woodcock of Birkdale also guessed correctly and we have a special runners up prize a copy of the latest Queensland Bride's Diary Magazine for you.

Well done to you both. For those of you who are curious the answer was 402 individual images made up that image, with the total number of images used 9600.

Our 10th Wedding Anniversary!

It's our 10th Wedding Anniversary today. I can't believe it's been ten years, even though I can't really remember not having Dave in my life. I am so lucky to have married my best friend, the one I can truly rely on, and who puts their faith in me. We have worked together for longer, nearly eleven years. It doesn't work for everyone, but for us - it's perfect. Our sometimes lively discussions about which image is best, and how to best do things means we are constantly improving and happy to try new things. We are very competitive so are always trying to out do each other. Our midnight conversations after we have shot different weddings are something I look forward to. The round up of the day, with each image, and how we did it.

We have also been fortunate to live in different countries, and loved our time in London and Auckland. It's been a memorable ten years, but it did start with the most beautiful wedding (I know I'm biased). The fact that we enjoyed our wedding day so much is what we hope to bring to any wedding we photograph or video. Our relaxed approach is because we have done this so many times, and have gotten to know the couple we are shooting. The resulting imagery captures the day, the couple, family and friends, every element that you can look back on in future years together.

The day goes past in such a whirl, and the photos and video are what you can relive the day with again and again.

I want to wish my husband a Happy Anniversary, and I look forward to many more wonderful years together. xxx

Top Tips for Your Wedding - Who Pays for What?

Everyone is different. Who pays for what may be decided by your heritage, family circumstances, as well as your finances. History may mean your family is willing to pay a certain budget, or for certain items. If your sister had so much, you may expect the same. It's very important to plan your budget right from the start. This way you don't blow the budget before you have decided each element.

If you really want to follow Australian tradition the following is an excerpt from 'The Penguin Book of Etiquette' by Marion Von Adlerstein.

'The Bride and her family pay for:

Invitations and postage
Wedding dress and going-away clothes for the bride
Dresses for the bride's attendants if the bride has firm ideas about what she wants and they are likely to be costly; otherwise it's reasonable to expect the bridesmaids to pay for their own dresses and accessories
Flower and music for the church
Photographic and movie records of the event
Reception costs
Wedding ring, if there is on, for the groom

The Groom pays for:

The marriage licence
The Wedding ring
Fees and donations to the church
Flowers carried by the bridal party
Buttonholes for himself, best man and ushers
Wedding cars
Gifts for bride's and groom's attendants
The honeymoon

At the end of the day it's your special day, and if you have a special desire you may decide to pay for it yourself. I know at our wedding we didn't follow this list, but it all worked out perfectly.

The Valiant

Recently we were at Dalby for Karen and Kevin's Wedding. They had wanted to make the most of Kevin's Valiant, and had organised four in total, through the help of their car club. I thought the footage could have come straight from the 1960s so have played a little to take Karen and Kevin back in time.
We were lucky enough to have a gorgeous backdrop thanks to Kevin's boss. It fits in perfectly.

Timing Tips for your Wedding Photography

One of the important elements of your Wedding Photography is timing, and not all couples want the same thing. Depending on the number of locations and how far apart your locations are can play a vital role in enjoying your Photo Session, and getting the most out of your day.

Here are some important questions to contemplate:

How long do you want to spend doing your location photographs?
How far away are the ceremony and reception venues?
How much travel time do you need to allow?
Would you like to go to more than one location for your photos?
What time is sunset?
What time are you expected to enter at the reception?

It is really important to discuss your expectations and timings with your photographer. The more your photographer understands about your day the more satisfied you will be.

Wow.. what a weekend. It was great to meet so many wonderful couples, and find out about their plans. Weddings from now until 2012, lots of gorgeous dresses, great friends and family and amazing locations.

Christa & Tim's Wedding in Toowoomba

Christa and Tim enjoyed a wonderful day. The ceremony took place at St Thomas Mores, and we went to the Toowoomba Showgrounds for the photo session, then to Picnic Point for more photos, and the reception.

At our pre-wedding consult the week before the wedding Christa and Tim did scare me a little when they told me they hated their photos being taken. As you can see the camera doesn't agree. They have some absolutely beautiful images, and we all enjoyed the day so much.

I love this image. It was one of the last of the night, and everyone was ready to start the party. The bridal party were amazing all day.

Luke's fireworks surprise for Joanne

Joanne and Luke enjoyed a magical day. Starting with Joanne getting ready at Palazzo Versace, with family and friends, and then to Hope Island Resort for the ceremony and reception. If that wasn't perfect already Luke out did himself by organising a fireworks display as a surprise. We were part of the plan, and all the guests were shepherded outside for a group photo. Once everyone was in place the stunning fireworks display started. As you will see Joanne was definitely surprised, as were all of the couples' family and friends.

Normally I start at the beginning when putting the video together, but I had to fast forward to end for this one. I will be uploading additional footage from the day, but couldn't wait to show this.

Starlite Dancers Concert

Here is just a taste of the Starlite Dancers Concert. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening, and watching all of the performers. Then putting together the video to show the full picture from a distance, but we also love to see each performer doing their best. So we combine a range of full, mid and close up shoots when putting the footage together so we achieve the best of all three.

Event Videography is exciting as things can change at the last minute and we have to capture everything. Multiple angles and camera operators helps make this possible.

Naomi & John's Wedding

What an amazing day. Naomi and John were fantastic, and we had a great day photographing their Wedding. The ceremony was held at the gorgeous St Mary's Catholic Church in Ipswich. This impressive church was a wonderful backdrop of formality to the wedding vows.

We went on to the River Heart Parkland for the start of the photo session. With great views of the river, and an enormous water feature the options were endless. Then we were off the Queen's Park for a few final shoots before concluding at the Ipswich RSL for the reception.

Thanks to Naomi and John, and all of their bridal party. Their enthusiasm was unbelieveable and we captured some stunning images, and all the fun of the day.

Starlite Dancers Concert

Starlite Dancers Concert is on the 6th of December. Here is a little taste of all of the hard work and preparation that goes into the night.

You can order you DVDs at dance class or on the night.

We will be taking photographs of the performance. If you would like individual photographs of any of the dancers please see Dave before the concert, or at the interval.

Zoe Reading

Our daughter has just turned another development corner and is starting to read. I really wanted to capture this moment in time, and preserve it forever. Time goes so quickly, and it's so easy to miss these important learning steps. So after much bribery on my part I finally convinced Zoe to read in front of the camera. Although she very quickly became just a little too comfortable, and took over directing the project.

This is going to be the perfect gift for Zoe's grandparents. Dave's parents are in the UK so it a wonderful snippet to show them how she is growing and changing.

Christie & Scott

Christie and Scott had a great day at Spring Bluff Railway Station. The weather was fantastic, and the reception at St Mary's was brilliant. We had a team of three. I was on Photography, David (different to Dave) was doing the video, and Kristy was assisting. Having two Kristys was a bit confusing. Our lovely bride kept thinking I was telling her to sort out her dress, or pick stuff up, but no that's what our wonderful assistance do.

Spring Bluff looked great, just after winning in the Carnival of flowers festival. Here is the video highlights. I will be uploading the images soon.

I love the images that Dave & I took of Michelle and Paul's Wedding. We had a fantastic day with this couple, and they really committed to our photo session, and the proof is in the imagery. When I started the slideshow I thought there would be about a minute or two, but I really had a cull, and there are some gorgeous images that haven't been included.

We are very priviledged to work with couples like Misha and Pat, who let us into their day, and show us the emotions that you feel on your Wedding Day.

Misha and Pat enjoyed a wonderful day full of emotion and beauty. Their ceremony and reception were held at Sails at Redcliffe, and the day although starting a little windy, turn out perfectly. Their images and video were so good it inspired us to combine the two elements for an overall picture of what we do. It was so hard to reduce the footage to a size for the internet, but you can request a copy of the full 15 minute version.

We had a fantastic time working with this couple, and I think the video and images show the connection. Thanks for letting us play our part in your very special day. Misha and Pat are soon moving to Victoria, and have the wonderful news that they are expecting. We wish you all the very best in your future together.

Lauren & Ben's Wedding

Lauren & Ben had an amazing day. The weather was perfect, and they were very adventurous with great family and friends who helped in their photo session.

Last year we photographed Lauren's brother's wedding, and it was wonderful to see their family again, and catch up a little on how they were going.

Lauren looked stunning, and was very relaxed and great to work with. We took the before shots at

her mum's place, which has amazing views over the valley.

The ceremony was held at the Laidley Lutheran Church. Then off to Mount Walker for the photography session at the best man's parent's farm. Friends had bought the couple's horses, and groomed them ready for our photos. The photos are fantastic with the horses performing beautifully.

Next it was the Rosewood Show Hall for the reception, where the speeches were very entertaining, including Lauren's fairy tale story of meeting her prince charming.

It was a great pleasure to be part of Lauren and Ben's day. The video is being worked on, and will be uploaded once complete. Thanks for letting us be part of your special day, and good luck in your future life together.

What a Weekend - Ideal Bride Wedding Expo

Wow... what a full on weekend. I had a fantastic time talking to brides, some who had just got engaged (the night before for one lucky lady), to others who had been together for years, but are making the preparation for a gorgeous wedding.

I am looking forward to meeting up with so many of you to discuss your day further. The expos are so busy it's had to tell you everything we offer, and show you all of our images in such a short amount of time.

By the Sunday my head was spinning with so many wedding and ideas. I loved some of the dresses in the fashion parade, and am now looking for an event to justify purchasing one or two of them.

Please double check with us about our available dates, as a few more have now been taken. The fast half of our 2010 calendar is now extremely busy.

I look forward to hearing from you, and hearing how you found the expo.

Melissa & David's Wedding

Melissa & David chose a gorgeous winter's day. The sun shone, and the sky was that amazing blue I think you only get in Queensland. Unfortunately the wind did pick up a little, and it was quite chilling, but Melissa was fantastic. Without complaint she worked tireless with all of our suggestions, and made some great ones of her own.

After a chilly photo session we all were happy to arrive at the Burke and Wills for the reception.

Thanks to Melissa, David and all of the bridal party for finding the warmth from within, and helping us to capture stunning imagery, and as well as some fun and touching moments for your video.
